Morning Session :
Stabilisation and nursing care of the small animal trauma patient in practice
Traumatic injuries in dogs and cats are uncommon, but these patients will often have life threatening injuries that require rapid stabilisation. Furthermore, the condition of these patients can change rapidly, so serial monitoring and intensive nursing care is vital for patient welfare and improved outcomes. We will discuss the principles of triage, stabilisation, and nursing care of the trauma patient in practice.
